Kalorino ("we", "us") is a calorie and macro tracker. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with. Kalorino is offered to users in the United States only.

Information we collect

Account: your email address, an optional display name, and your time zone.
What you log: the foods and drinks you record (including any photos you choose to send), your body-weight entries, and your calorie/macro goals.
Billing: if you subscribe, your subscription status. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number.
Feedback: any message and screenshots you send us through the in-app feedback form.
Technical: a single sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.

How we use it

To provide the service: estimate the calories and macros of what you log, keep your daily log, answer your questions about your trends, manage your account and subscription, and respond to your feedback.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers to run the app:

Anthropic — our AI provider. The food descriptions, food photos, and branded-item web-search queries you generate are sent to Anthropic to produce the calorie/macro estimates. Anthropic's commercial API does not use this data to train its models.
Stripe — processes subscription payments and stores your billing details.
Resend (and/or an email provider) — delivers sign-in links and account emails.
Our hosting provider stores the app and its database.

These providers process data in the United States.

Food photos

When you attach a meal photo, it is sent to Anthropic to identify the food and estimate its nutrition. We do not store your photos on our servers. Please avoid including other people or sensitive documents in your photos.

Retention

We keep your account and logs until you delete your account. Our short-term chat memory is discarded automatically after about 15 minutes of inactivity. You can delete everything at any time (see below).

Your choices

Access / export: download all your data from Account → "Download all my data".
Deletion: delete your account and logs from Account → "Delete my account". This removes your data from our systems and cancels any subscription. Copies already sent to providers (e.g. an email in our support inbox) are governed by their retention.
Correction: change your email or name from the Account screen, and edit or remove logged items in chat.

Kalorino's figures are AI estimates for general wellness and tracking. They are not medical, dietary, or nutritional advice and are not a substitute for a qualified professional.

Children

Kalorino is intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

We may update this policy; we'll revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
